Himalayan pajama party

So, it is definitely not required, but I would say during the day 97% of the guests are swearing these white pajamas... known as Kurta Pyjamas
At dinner it is about 50/50, you can guess what side we are on:)
But in the spirit of the serene environment here are a couple pics of us wearing them (well Colman wearing half of them).... Heading to the pool before we leave for Delhi for the night before heading to London.

Rollo and Kathryn - we have your attire for Tuesday's dinner.

Hope everyone had a nice Easter!

Sorry for a couple days of no posting. We arrived to the Himalayas on Thursday and have been relaxing since.
Here are some pictures of children from a local orphanage for village children. Here they are performing traditional Indian dance.

"Pleasure Palace"

We took a boat ride to pleasure palace which is where the Royal Family would go and spending a couple weeks and do fishing, swimming etc in the summer months. It was built before the Summer Palace which is now the Lake Palace hotel we are staying in.

Boat Ride

Around the hotel

Some shots of us relaxing around the hotel before we took off for a boat ride on the lake. Another swing outside the room....

Lake Palace

The hotel was originally the "summer palace" for the Royal Family. Amazing details in the room we stayed in. It was once the Queen's room and the swimming pool of the hotel was her bath. Stained glass and a swing!!

Taj Lake Palace

Sunset cocktails and a view of the Royal Palace and the full moon from dinner on the rooftop of the hotel. The restaurant has been voted the 19th best view in the world.

Elephant Ride

Udaipur

Arriving to our hotel in Udaipur. It is in the middle of a lake so you need to travel by boat.... And they make you wear the life vests just in case the 25 horse power motor gets out of control.

Amber

Visit to Amber.

It was constructed in the 16th Century and is over half a million square feet in size.

Fabric store

They had so many fabrics to choose from for many different things: bedding, table linens, clothing, scarves, suits, etc.
They have a tailor there that will make whatever you want and get it to you by the next day if not that night!

You can see Katie felt right at home!

Carpet makers

These pictures are of carpets being made.... Pretty incredible.

Jaipur

Woke up to some friends outside of our room (first pic) and then more around the hotel property. Amazing colors on these peacocks.

Taj Mahal

Early morning visit to the Taj Mahal. Amazing seeing it at sunrise. We got many more photos on our regular camera, but here are a couple shots.

Agra

Dinner in Agra - traditional Indian dishes and music!
